Syusby, Nov. 30. Thk election of four members for Sydney constituency took place to-day, and resulted in the return of Messrs. Reid, Barton, Griffiths, and McElhone. Sir Henry Parkes and Dr Renwick were defeated. Great excitement prevails in the city to-night.

[Received December 1, 1 u.ni.J Sydnkv, Yesterday. In his speech from the hustings last evening, Sir Henry Parkes said that he refused to accept his defeat for East Sydney as the verdict of the country, hut that it would probably result in certain changes in the Government.
