Dacline of the Land Fever. Greenwood oponcd his sale of thn Ellerslie <?ark to-day, but the bidding did not come up to 'expectations, and only the first three lots offered were disposed of. They were : Lot GOO, l'2s per foot;' lot 001, 13s (3d per foot; and lot 602, 7s per foot. The remainder of the lots are open for purchase privately at the upset piice, and Mr Greenwood may be negotiated with respecting them.
Charge of Embezzlement. At the Police Court to-day, Arthur James Fawcett, late clerk in the ottiee of the Mutual Insurance Society, Sydney, was charged with the cmbez/dciuent of the sum of £25 on the lGth of May. The Bench remanded the piisonei- to Sydney.
