NOTICE is -hereby given that a SPECIAL MEETINCi of the above Council will be held at the Chambers, Ohaupo, on Tuesday, December 12th, 1882, at 10 o'clock a.m. Business :

SLEEPER CONTRACT.
WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at the office of the undersigned until Noon of MONDAY, 4th December next, for the supply of about 6,800 SLEEPERS, accoiding te specifications and conditions to be seen at the office of the undei signed, or at the office of the Thames County Council, Thames, or at the office of Mr G. H. A. Purclias, Te Aroha. Tendeis to be endorsed "Tender for Sleepers." The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. JAMES STEWART, Civil Engineer. Auckland, 14th November, 1882.
"OUNIU DOMAIN BOARD. To Saw Mill Owners and Others.
Tendcis are required by the above board for a lease of the Te Rahu Reserve near Te Awamutu for 7 years, with the right to cut the Kahikatea, Rimu, and Tawa bush thereon. Also, for a lease for i) years of the reserve near Kihikihi, with the like right to cut the Kahikatea, Rimu, and Tawa bush, or as regards this lot tenders may be for the sawing timber only, or for the firewood only, without a lease of the land. Each lot is offered subject to certain conditions), a copy of which may be seen, and any further particulais obtained by applying to the undersigned, who will receive tenders (by post only) up to Saturday, November 2oth.
