Youxg Lokd Dj^rby took First Prize as a yeailiug at the Auckland Show, 1878, and First Prize as a two-yeav old in 1879. He was bred by A. and J. Anderson, of Kaniwhaniwha ; got by Lord Derby, who, when a colt before leaving Victoria, took a number o* First frizes. He was bred by Mr A. Watsou, High Bank Hill, Kyneton ; got by Champion of Scotland, the winner of First Prizes at the Highland Society's Shows, held at Edinbiugh in ISG9. He was al-o the winner several times of the Champion Gold Medal at the principal Annual Shows in Victoria. Young Lord Derby's dam, Fanny, got by Northern Hero, out of Queen, an imported mare from Sydney. Young Loicl Derby is a ricli dark bay, stands 17-1 hands, and has proved a sure foa 1 getter, aud a grand i temper. TERM'S Single Mare £2 10s ; two or more, as per agreement. Grazing, 2s per week.
