pUBLIC NOTIFICATION. To the Ratepayers Cambridge Highway District. Under provision contained in the "Roads and Bridges Construction Act, ISS2," the Cambridge Highway District Board have made an application to the Honorable the Minister for Public Works for a Loan of One Thousand Pounds sterling (£1000), for the piirposeof Forming and Gravelling Roads urgently necessary to enable the ratepayers to have access to the Fencouit and Hautapu Stations, on the Hamilton-Cambridge line of railway. The estimated cost of the work thus proposed to be undertaken is Eleven Hundred and Sixty Pounds (£1160). The amount of yearly payment required by Government on £1000— the amount proposed to be borrowed — will be Ninety Pounds (£9O), and the amount of Special Rate required to raise that sum will be One Farthing in the Pound on the rateable vale of property in the district. Detailed estimates of the work may be seen at the residence of John Rnnciman, Esq., Broad Meadows, during business hours. To decide whether the Board shall or shall not undertake the works, and borrow the money as above set forth, and levy a Special Rate as mentioned, A POLL of the Ratepayers of the Cambridge Highway District will be taken at the residence of John Runciman, Esq., Broad Meadows, on WEDNESDAY, the 29th day of November, ISS2, commencing at 9 o'clock a.m., and closing at 6 o'clock p.m. " JAS.
