Tiik Hon. Ivo Bligh's. team of cricketers landed here yesteidny, fiom the P. and 0. bte.vmship Peshawur. Owing to the rain, play in the match against fifteen of South Australia could not be commenced until 2 p,m. The visitors went in first, and when the stumps were drawn for the day they hud put together G(i for the loss of 6 M'ickets. The folloM'ing is the score :—Barlow, c, I ; P. \V. Reid, c, 5 ; G. B. Studd, c, 1(J ;A. G. Steele, b, 4 ; Bates, b, nil ; C. T. Studd, b, 9 ; Barnes, not out, 19 ; Tylecote, not out, 8 ; extra, 1. Owing to the rain, the wicket was not in good order, and play had to be stopped. The cricket match between the English Eleven and fifteen of South Australia was resumed to-day at Adelaide. The visitors with 66' runs to their credit, and having 6 wickets down, continued the first innings, Barnes and C. F. S. Tylecote, the not out men of the previous day, being at the wickets. The Eleven were disposed of for a total of 153, the scores dining the day being as follows :— Barnes, b, 42 ; C. F. S. Tylecote, b, 59 ; C. F. H. Leslie, 1), 5 ; G. F. Vernon, not out, 2; Morley, b, 1. The Home team then commenced their first innings, and at the close of the day's play had lost three wickets for 40 runs. The wicket was in better order to-day; and the weather throughout was five. The attendance of spectators was very large, aud His Excellency the Governor visited the field in the afternoon. The cricket match between the English team and the .South Australian fifteen wag drawn, The visitors are passengers for Melbourne by the P and 0 steamship K»iser-I-Hind., Their match against Victoria commences on Friday.
