Staxlky is rising three years old, by Lord Derby, out of Blossom ; Blossom by Matchless, out of Blossom, who was by Cumberland, thus possessing a combination of the best and staimchest blood in the colony. He is an immensely powerful colt, with lots of bone and hair of the finest quality ; is a giand worker and perfectly quiet. He won first prize as a yearling, and first as a two-year-old at the Auckland Shows 1880 and 1881. All mares pro\ ing not in foal to be served free of charge next season. Youxg Lord Derby took First Prize as a yearling at the Auckland Show, 1878, and First Prize as a two-year old in 1879. He was bred by A, and J. Anderson, of Kaniwhaniwha ; got by Lord Derby, who, when a colt before leaving Victoria, took a number o* First Prizes. Ho was bred by Mr A. Watson, High Bank Hill, Kyneton ; got by Champion of Scotland, the winner of First Prizes at the Highland Society's Shows, held at Edinburgh in 1869. He was nKo the winner several times of the Champion Gold Medal at the principal Annual Shows in Victoria. Young Lord Derby's dam, Fanny, got by Northern Hero, out of Queen, an imported mare from Sydney. Young Lord Derby is a rich dark bay, stands 17-1 bauds, and has proved a sure foa 1 getter, and a grand temper, TERMS Single Mare £2 10s j two or more, as per agreement. Grazing, 2s per week.
