His dam, Blossom, winner of two prizes in Canterbury. Blossom's sire, Napoleon, whose stock has never suffered defeat by the progeny of any other sire in New Zealand or Scotland. His sire, the imported horse Prince Chailie, bred by James Nieol Fleming, Esq., whose stock is not equalled by any other breeder in Great Britain. He is also bi other to the champion horse of Scotland, the Pi ince of Wales, who has lately been sold for £1500 to Mr L. Drew, of Merry ton Prince Charlie took fiist prize in Clni&tchurch in 1872, beating a field of eight competitors, six of them impoited and .ill aged horses but one, he himself being only three years old ; and the same day a special prize for the best animal on the ground. He also gained the special prize of £o os, given by Mr Bishop, Mayor of Christchurch. Lowden Tarn lias proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock is;secoud to none in the Colony, W. B.
