KINDS WORDS.
Kind words 1 Like flakes of silent snow, That fall from heaven to earth below, They 'soothe, and purify, and bless, And banish all the heart's distress. Kind words ! Ah, life would be so fair, If they were spoken everywhere 1 The world would then be full of joys For girls and women, men and boys. Kind words 1 Along life's dusty way They bloom like flowers bright and gay : And, oh, their fragrance is so sweet To those who walk with weary feet I Kind words 1 A few are sure to dry The tears of children when they cry, And very often help to heal The deepest wounds the soul can feel. Kind words are not so hard to say, And scatter round us day by day ; And if we speak them now and then, They will come back to us again, Kind words 1 kind words ! I love them so, They fall like flakes of silent snow, Which tremble downward in the night, And leave dark fields at daybreak — white.
