rpo STAND THIS SEASON. YOUNG LORD DERBY Will Travel in Waikato this Season — Ngaruaw dhia Mondays Whatawhata Tuesdays Hamilton Thursdays At Home remainder of week. Young Lord Derby took First Prize as a yearling at tho Auckland Show, 1878, and Fiist Prize as a two-year old in 1879. He was bred by A. and J. Anderson, of Kaniwlianiwha ; got by Lord Derby, who, when a colt before leaving Victoria, took a number o* First Prizes. He was bred by Mr A. Watson, Higli Bank Hill, Kyneton ; got by Champion of Scotland, the winner of First Prizes at the Highland Society's Shows, held at Edinburgh in 1569. He was also the winner scvcial times of the Champion Gold Medal at the principal Annual Shows in Victoria. Young Lord Derby's dam, Fanny, got by Northern Hero, out of Queen, aii imported mare from Sydney. Young Lord Derby is a rich dark bay, stands 17-1 hands, and has proved a sure foa 1 getter, and a grand temper. TERMS Single Mare £2 10s ; two or moie, as per agi eeincnr. Grazing, 2s per week. Saturday -Rangiriri. Terms -Single Maies, £2 10s ; two or more, £2 each. LOWDEN TAM -A rich brown colour, 1(M hands high, bred by W. Boag, Esq., Feiidaltown, Canterbury. His dam, Blossom, winner of two prizes in Canterbury. Blossom's sire, Napoleon, whose stock has nc\er sulieiod defeat by the piogcny of any other sire in New Zealand or Scotland. His sire, the imported horse Prince Charlie, bred by James Nicol Fleming, Esq., whose stock is not equalled by any other breeder in Great Britain, lie is also brother to the champion horse of Scotland, the Prince of Wales, who has lately been sold foi £1500 to Mr L. Diew, of Merry ton Prince Chai lie took fiist prize in Christchurch in 1872, beating a field of eight competitors, si\ of them imported and all aged horses but one, he himself being only tluce yeais old ; and the same day a special pi ize for the best animal on the ground. He also gained the special prize of Co os, gi\ en by Mr Bishop, Mayor oi Christchurch. Lowden Tain has proved himself a sure foal-gettor, and his stock is second to none in the Colony, W. B.
