Steclo had declined to act as arbitrator in the matter in diapute between the board and Mr Bonfiey, it was rcsol\ ed to try and anange %\ith Mr H. Hadiield, of TuluUaramea.'to nndeitaUe the office. — A ! letter was iecci\ed fiom the Suney Office, enclosing the neee&iary plans ami infoimation for opening that portion of Clarkes road at the TulnUaiamea end of this distuct. The sccretaiy was instructed to take the necessary steps at once to get this road dedicated under provisions of the Public Woiks Act.— ln reply to a letter addressed by the board to Mr W. Johns, requesting him to complete the purchase of land bought by him when lands •\\ero sold for rates, that gentleman wrote, stating that he had placed the matter in the hands of his sobcitois, who would probably coimnnm- - cate -with the boaid on the subject at once.— The secretaiy was ordered to see what tiuther notion, if any, was reel ui red to put the deviation of road at Mr Hindle's corner, on a proper footing. —Mr Macreadie was authorised to engage a man to repair the pound, the work to bo done under the supervision of himself and Mr Limmer.— It was arranged that Mr Macreadie should meet T. Y. Fitzpatrick and inspect the load on the West side of the Waipa, reporting at next meeting what was absolutely necessary to be clone. —This was all the business.
