GISBORNE, Last Night. Tlie banquet given to Allan McDonald last night was a great success. About 100 poisons wore piescnt, including Sii Ucorqe Whitmoie, and seveial Napier «md Auckland visitors. Favorable reports has been received from the Southern Cross Petiolonm Works, and operations arc resuming with vigour.

NAPIER, Last Night. Mr Sutton adchrssol his constituents at Hastings, and was well received. He dealt chiefly with tue legislation of la&t session, relative to local government.
