TVTEWCASTLE HIGHWAY DISIX TRICT. MR. E. C. SHEPHERD has been appointed RANGER for the above Highway District for the current year, and will attend at the Delta Hotel, Ngaruawahia, on Thursday, 26th inst., from 10 till 2, to register cattle and receive fees, and at the Post-office, Whatawhata, on Friday, 27th. Notice To the ratepayers in the above district who have not paid last years rates :— Proceedings will be instituted forthwith for the arrears together with rate for curreut year unless paid by 31st October. iHAMBRIDGE, OR "B" TROOP. Vj Waikato Cavalry Volunteers. The above Troop will PARADE on SATURDAY, October 14th, at 10 a.m. j sharp, at the Public and Volunteer Hall, Cambridge, for inspection. Every member must appear fully equipped. The Fen Court Belt will be competed for after parade. A Troop Meeting will be held in the evening; the time to be decided on parade. HAMILTON HIGHWAY DISTRICT BOARD. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the above board to meet at the office of Mr J. Edgecumbe on Saturday, October 28th, at 1 p.m., for the purpose of striking a rate of 9d in the £ on all rateable land in the district for the year ending 31st of March, ISB3, the rate to be made payable in one instalment on and after Ist of November, 1882, to Mr W. NOTICE is hereby given that the Pirongia District Board intend, on the 21st October, to LEVY A RATE of ONE SHILLING IN THE POUND on the rateable value of Property in the above Highway District for the year ending 31st March, 1883, and that the said Rate will be payable in one sum on the 4th November, 1882. TTJ-AITOA DRAINAGE WORKS. Contracts Nos. 11 and 12. TENDERS will be received at or before noon of THURSDAY, the 26th instant, for the above Contracts.
