WELLINGTON, Last Night. It is understood that two gentlemen in town are willing to become sureties in the case of Adams, who was recently convicted of conspiracy, and who is still detained in custody. The amount subscribed in 'Wellington in aid of the persecuted Jews of Russia is nearly £650.
OHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A divorce case, in which well-known citizens are concerned, is said, to be on the tap ii>. Akaroa settlers have abandoned for the present, the project of establishing a M4at Freezing Company. Two Ayrshire bulls were shipped for Sydney yesterday.
OAMARU, Last N'ght. A miner named Botting was killed by a fall of earth at Mairwhenua.
