Yor/tfo Lord Derby took First Prize as a yearling' at the Auckland Show, 1878, and Fiist Prize as a two-year old in 1879. He was bred by A. and J. Anderson, of Kamwhaniwha; got by Lord Derby, who, when a colt, before leaving Victoria, took a number o* First Prizes. He was bred by Mr A. Watson, High Bank Hill, Kyneton ; got by Champion' of Scotland, the winner of First Prizes at the Highland Society's Shows, i 'held at Edinburgh in 1569. He was also the winner beveral times of the Champion Gold Meiilal at the principal Annual Shows in Victoria. Young Lord Derby's dam, Fanny,' got by Northern Hero, out of Queen, an imported mare from Sydney. Young Loul Derby is a rich ,davk bay, stands 17-1 hands, and has proved a sure foal getter, and a grand temper. TERMS— Single Mare £2 10s ; two or more, as per agreement. Grazing, 2s per week.
