Young Lokd Dlkby took First Prize as a yeaihng at the Auckland Show, 1 878, and First Prize as a two-year old in 1879. He was bred by A. and J. Anderson, of Kauiw haniwha ; got by Lord Duby, who, when a colt before leaving Victoiia, took a number of Fust Prizes. Ho was bred by Mr A. Watson, High Bank Hill, Kyncton ; got by Champion of Scotland, the winner of Fust Prizes at the Highland Society's Shows, held at Edinbuigh in 18G9. He was al-o the winner several times of the Champion Gold Medal at the piincipal Annual Shows in Victoiia. Young Lotd Derby's dam, Fanny, got by Noitliern Hero, out of Queen, an imported mare from Sydney. Young Loid Derby is a lich dark bay, stands 17-1 hands, and has pro\ cd a sure foal getter, and a grand temper. TERMS— Single Mare £2 10s ; two or more, as per agreement. Grazing, 2s per week.
