Mr Ar.KRHU Hucklano's Wki'kiv Ri'poiu. — At the Haymarkct on Sept. 22, (odder was uuusually plentiful, but retained late values. Pressed oaten hay brought £5 10s per ton. Horses were in fair supply, and were mostly disposed of at satisfactory prices. Hie advertised stallions were not sold, there being little competition for them. At the Haymarket or. Tuesday last, hides were in full number, late prices ruled ; best quality brought from Ujjd to 3JII the lb ; sheepskins trom 4s to 5s 5d each ; wool in grease, (jjd the lb ; t.illow, UK to 20s the cwt. At Papakura on Wednesday ,1 moderate muster of cattle met a steady demand, all yarded being sold at the auction .it prn.c something higher than those obtained at the previous sales. At Remuera on Ihursdaj, cattle were at late values ; store cattle were abundant. Those of good quality in demand, but the greater number were very low in condition, and at low values. Fat cattle were in usual number —lso head yarded, mostly light weights. Prices hardened, and 28s was trcelj given for choice quality. A large muster of well-fatted sheep sustained last week's values, but lambs were lower in price 5s per head ; .best kinds only realising 15s, and inferior, onl> realising 5s each. Not many pigs offered, and those were at late value. Averages were—24 steers, J. Goodfellow, £Q 17s 2d ; 41 steers, Austie, £9 2s Cd ; 8 steers and cows, W. Buttle, £i 17s 6d. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Import.—Horses : —The supply has been moderate, the demand good, and those of a useful stamp realised prices satisfactory to vendors. 'Ihcrc remains an unsatisfied demand for young working draught Stock and upstanding coachers. At the Durham Yards, on Friday, there was above an average number submitted. Good hacks scarcely sold so well as the previous week, but other descriptions maintained their value. We quote hacks from L 6 to L.18; medium draught, from L 25 to L3l 10s. Wool, hides, and skins: Ihe supply has not been large and the quality only second class, consequently the highest pru c given was, for hides, 3Jd; wool, 7]d, rough; tat, in bags, 23s Cd, Cattle: There has been increased activity in the market, and for fat stock an upward tendency in price. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, the yards were well filled. The competition for fat stock was good, for stores stead), but dairy stock was comparatively neglected, and consequently but few were disposed of at nominal prices. Stores fully maintained last week's values, and for sonic fresh steers from the North, a shade higher value was given, but there was no noteworthy alteration in quotations. Best beef realised 30s per lOOlbs. Sheep: 'Ihere has been a fair | supply, and good demand. The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday. Stores, mixed sexes, sold at 10s 9d; best wethers, in wool, realised 25s 3d; shorn, 14s Od; lambs from 8s to 17s Od. Pigs were again plentiful, and were scarcely worth so much as the previous week, very few obtaining 2^d per lb. live weight. _^_____
