ROAD ALTERATIONS IN THE RANGIAOHIA DISTRICT.
Pursuant to advertisement, a meeting ot ratepayers was held in the Pnl)lic Hall, Te Awamutu, on Satin day *23rd inst. Mr W. Sloanc in the chair, when it was decided to submit to the County Council the following useless roads ior closing, and which aie located and bounded by the properties of the undernamed gentlemen, viz : Mr R. Cunningham, Rangiaohia ; Mr A. J. Bertram, ltangiaohia ; Mr E. Parsons, Te Awamutu ; Mr J. Cunday, Maugapiko. The following road deviations have also been passed for submission to the council, viz : That running by Mr Wateis' faun, and between lots 318, 293, and 2!)4, parish of Puniu. That thiough Mr A. Eamsay's farm, Rangiaohia. That through the Te Awanmtu Church grounds at Te Awamutu. That through McCabc's, and near the farm of Mr Potts, dividing the parishes of Pnniu and Magapiko. That known as Turney's deviation, Mangapiko, is postponed, as the colouring shown on delineation is incorrect. Roads through the Roman Catholic Mission property, Rangiaohia, have in a like manner been closed, and given up as an exchange for the existing main traffic line on said property, as per agreement entered into some 12 years ago by the then local authorities with Bishop Croke. A resolution was passed, that none of the abovenamed roads, except in the case of absolute exchanges, will be finally disposed of until the parties interested pay the cost of advertising, &c. , connected therewith.
