Tli c Sydney team only arrived about one o'clock from Christchurch. The weather was unfavorable for football, the strong N. W, wind blowing prevented any of the men from kicking good kicks. The New South Wales men had the best of the game throughout, and won by onegoal, kicked from the field, and two tries, or 8 points to >id. The team left to-night for Napier and Auckland. Owing to their delay here they are unable to play against Napier.
