Grandsire ' the renowned champion horse Prince Charlie, who was never beaten in Scotland or the Australian Colonies. He was imported to Victoria by Messrs J. and M. Mackintosh. Grand-dam the famed and renowned Black Diamond (imported), winner of the Port Phillip Farmer's Society's "Challenge Cup," for seven years in succession, and never suffered defeat; she was the property of J. Kearnan, Esq., Moonee Ponds. Young Dan O'Connell is jet black, aged, and stands 16 hands high, on short legs, with great bone, good action, and faultless symmetry.
