Waihato Times Office, Friday. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS.

Mr Alfrud Bockland's Wbhki.y Rkfout. — At the Haymarkct on Sept. 15, fodder was in tit val supply and realised late values. There was not a large number of horses entered foi sale, but with few exceptions all brought forward were disposed of at satistactory prices. Medium draught brought iiom £13 10a to £2<i Ws ; hacks up to £30. The entires advertised were not disposed of. At the Hjymarkct, on .JXuesday, best hides ranged from 3id to 3jd the Ib.; tallow, 19s to 28_s per cwt. : best skins, 3s Od to 5s 8d each; wool, in grease, 7 5-lGths d the lb. At the usual monthly cattle sale at Pokeno, on Monday, there was a full muster of cattle, but bidding was dull, and the greater number were forwarded to the Drury market. At Drury, on Wednesday, the yards were filled, and there was a good attendance of buyers, but prices ruled low. Weaned calves, from 14s to 23s ; yearlings, 25s to 38s; two year olds, 45s to 00s; dairy cows, £4 to ,£7, were the prices ruling, and of those values nearly all yarded were sold. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle near their profit were better worth. Store cattle wpre at late values. Fat cattle were in less than usual number, and at fully last week's values. Prices ranged from 26s to 28s the lOOlbs., with a >■ brisk demand. Fat sheep were also in better inquiry : best pens of wethers brought from 22s to 25s 6d each. No, many fat calves yarded ; those sold at high values. Fat lambs were plentiful ; second quality at lower values, but good quality ranged from 15s to 20s each. Large pigs were at lower values than hitherto, but well-bred store .pigs were in demand. 'Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Rer port. —Horses : There has been continued animation in the market, and values have been fully sustained. At the Durham Yards on Friday, an average number were yarded, and all of a useful stamp found ready purchasers, and there remains an unsatisfied inquiry for all classes, and compact horses for iarm and dray work. There was no noteworthy alteration in last week's qubiztions. Hides and skins were in large supply, and met good competition. Hides sold at horn 3j<l to 3Jd ; skins, 2s fid to 5s lid. Cattle ; There has been a fair supply of all descriptions. An upward tendency was manifested in the price of beef. Stores, were without change in value, but dairy stock dull of sale. At Newmarket on Tuesday, above the usual number were yarded. The fat stock, as a i rule, were of good quality, and were adequate in quantity. Price for top sorts advanced fully 3s per lOOlbs, but indiffei cntly fatted were relatively lower. Dairy stock were plentiful. No very good animals were submitted, and there was difficulty in obtaining good competition. Very few stores were yarded, but there was little or no alteration in value. At Waiuku on Saturday, but a moderate number were yarded, and found purchasers at prices showing little variation irom those ruling at Newmarket, Sheep : The supply has been unusually short, and the description yarded not so good as usual lately, but prices have an upward tendency. Lambs were in excess of requirements, and consequently were not keenly competed for, and prices varied from 9s to lCs S)d each. Pigs: no iat pigs yarded, but coarse store pigs were plentiful, and prices ruled in favour of the vendor.
