THE SYDNEY FOOTBALLERS. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Last Night.

The football match Wanganui* v. New South Wales was played here this afternoon, in beautiful weather. The attendance was about 1500. Aarangemeuts were made to play two spells of forty minutes each. In the first spell the Wanganui team played very fast, and secured a touch-down, the try being disallowed, as a second Wanganui man touched the ball. In the sucond spell the Sydney men scored a goal and two tries, thus winning by 9 points to Wanganui's 2. The play throughout was excellently good on both sides. The Sydney team left for Christchurch at 5.30 this evening. Over 500 people assembled on the wharf to witness their departure.
