LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRRESPONDENT.]
A Missing Schooner. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Schooner Josephine, Capt. Pulman, which left Foxton for Sydney on May 16th, has not since been heard of. The owners, Messrs Wyld and Freeman, of Palmerston North, have given her up as lost, and sent to Anckland for another vessel. Mrs Pulman resides here.
The Native Land Settlement Company. At a meeting of the New Zealand Native Land Settlement Company this afternoon Mr W. L. Rees gave a state* ment of the position of the co'npany, pointing out the advisability of the people of Auckland giving support and having a board of directors here.
