Tins following bills were received from the Lower Hoiuse and read a first time :— Gold Duties Act Amendment Bill, Public Health Act Amendment Bill, Portobello Road Board Enabling Bill, Rangiora Domain Boaid Empowering Bill, Ohoka and Eyreton Domain Board Empowering Bill, Canterbury Rivers Act. 1870, Amendment Bill, aud Patent Act Amendment Bill. The following bills were read a third time:—e :—:—: — Public YVoiks Bill, Saving Bank Act, ISoS, Amendment Bill, Otago Harbour Boaid Further Empowering Bill, part of . Duncdiu Southern Market Reserve Leasing Bill, and Timaru Harbour Board Bill. The Gladstone Recreation Reserve Bill, and the Imprest Supply Bill (No. 4) weiereada second time. Several bills wore passed through Committee. The Lyttelton Harbour Board Bill was fuither considered in Committee, when the clause giving representation on the boat d to the Borough of St. Albans was struck out on a division of 13 to 10.
