Best loads Drought from 4s (id to 5s 3d the cwt. ; 150 sacks niaue, 4s 2d to 4s sd, and GOO sacks ; oats, 3s 4d to 3s 7d the bushel. For the entires advertised there was riot much competition. Fcvc was withdrawn for £200 ; £140 was the highest bid. J3lack_Cock,sold for £00. and the di aught entire Clyde for £00; aged heavy draught gelding, £'30; young draught marcs, mostly in low condition, lrom £20 to £30 ; medium draught, £13 to £18 ; small'interior horses, from £4 and upwards. At the Haymarket, on Tuesday last, hides were freely competed for, and late valuer obtained ior them. Tallow ranged from 21s to 28s the 1001 bs. At Pokeno, on Monday last, a limited number of cattle were yarded, principally cows, and full values were offered lor all brought forward. At Drury, on Wednesday, there was a steady demand for all cattle ><irded, and prices were in favour of the sellers, compared with previous markets. At Rumuora, on Thursday, dairy cattle were numerous, and almost unsaleable, 'lhe greater number %\ ere withdrawn, l'at cattle in lull numbers, and at late values, prices ranging f ' from 18s for inferior to 23s the lOOlbs. for prime quality. Store sheep at lower values. l'"at sheep, if good quality, slightly better worth. Pigs in moderate numbet and good demand. At the Durham Yards scarcely so many were submitted by auction as on the previous •week, but there was steady competition throughout the sale, and the previous week's prices were maintained. We quote— Hacks, from L8 to £17 10s ; medium drughts, suitable for farm work, £23 to £30 ; light draught, £17 15s to L 25 10s. Hides and skins were in usual supply, and were well competed lor, hides at '3jd to 3jd; skins, is lid to 4s Sd. Cattle: lhe supply of dairy and store stocks has been limited, but a demand has existed, and prices have been sustained. i'"at beasts were yarded < in quite an average number, and prices lor top sorts have rather .in upward tendency, At.Newm&rket, on Tuesday, the butcher's pen's were well filled with very prune oxen, Waikato, liast and "West Coast contributing. The latter were especially good, but, as the quality of all could scarcely be surpassed, there was much less fluctuation in price than in the previous week, but no noteworthy alteration in quotations, Sheep. The supply has been adequate, and corresponding demand. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, but few really good wethers were penned, but fully '2t> per 81bs. was given. Pigs. Very few yarded, demand unsatisfied.
