GHURGH FOR TAMAHERE.
PirsiTANT to an advertisement which appeared in our columns a meeting of those favourable to the erection of a church building at Tamahere was held at Camp's Tamahere Hotel on Monday afternoon". His Lordship the Bishop ®f Auckland and the Rev. W. N. deL. Willis attended, and there were present, . besides Messrs John Martyn junr., S: S. Graham, J. Way, W. A. Graham and .T. T_. Camp. After some discussion the following resolutions were carried : — (1 ) Moved by Mr John Martyn and seconded by Mr S. S. Graham, " That it is the opinion of this meeting the time has now arrived when it is deemed advisable to eicct a church at Tamahere. " (2) " That Messrs Graham be requested to keep their offer of a site open for three months." (3) 'That a committee be formed, consisting of Messrs S. S. and W. A. Graham, J. Way, John Martin junr., Kwen, Barugh, Wheeler and J. T. Camp, with power to add to their number, and that they be instructed to obtain a site as soon as possible, recommending either of the corners adjacent to the Tamahere Hotel if possible." eluding the bishop's donation of £30, are Subscriptions to the amount of £140, iualready promised towards the church. The Committee will meet at the Tamahere Hotel on Monday next, at 3 p.m., to decide upon the site and plans for the new building.
