WAITARA, Yesterday.

Te Wetere left here for Kihikihi via Mokan yesterday. Hia presence is thought necessary to allay the alarm caused by the forged telegram. Most of the Mokau natives have left for the iuterior, determined not to be taken quietly. Te Wetere will probably visit Auckland. The parties who despatched the bogits telegram the natives are known. The Government officers report that the excitement among the natives is intense.
