Feve and Blackcock. 1 , Auckland, Last Night. •* The thoroughbred horses Feve and Blackcock, the latter by Thunderbolt out of Dundee Kitty were offered for sale at Mr Buckland'a to-day. The highest bid for Feve was £150, at which price he was passed in. Blackcock fetched £60.
The Markets. There are alterations in the weekly market price list to-day. Colonial cheese has advanced m value, and is now quoted at 7d wholesale aud lOd retail. Butter and eggs remain unchanged. Oatmeal has declined slightly, -and is • p,t r .present worth frojn £17 to £17 10s. Some Canterbury potatoes are in the market open for disposal at frotn^ ss,to, to £4> 10s a ton. Sale of a Thoroughbred. The Auckland' 'StfuV ' Company have soitL the Musket-Exycina filly, but neircier name of purcha&er nor the price have transpired.
Tie Case of Samuel Joy. Samuel Joy was brought before the Police Court to-day, charged with bigamy, and remanded. Scrgt. Pardy stated that he believed four marriages would be proved against the prisoner. Death of Lord Abbot Alcock. _ Lord Abbot Alcock died to-day, aged 51 years.
