At the Durham Yards, on Friday, there was quite an average number submitted for sale bv auction. The competition was steady, and almost without exception those entered were disposed of at <juite the previous week's values. Woo], hides, and skins : A moderate supply met with good competition. Hides sold at from 3d to 3Jdper lb ; skins, Is Gd to 3s lOd; wool, in grease, 7d per lb ; rough tallow, 23s 9d per cwt. Cattle : There has been a good deal doing in dairy and fat stock. Stores were in short supply, and there remains an unsatisfied demand. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, there was n full muster of fat beasts, a moderate lot of dairy cows, and a limited number of stores. There was also a very small muster at Waiuku on Wcdncsd.iy. Prices for fat beasts have had a decidedly upward tendency; 27s Od per lOOlbs. having been given for several pens, and some few animals reached a shade higher. There was no noteworthy alteration in the values of dairy or store stock. Sheep : Notwithstandidg there has been a large supply, there has been no apSrcciablc decline in value.
