PARLIAMENTARY NOTES. [BY TELEGRAPH.-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Last Night.
The carrying of the motion for tho second reading of the Native Reserves Bill this evening by a majority of 6 is acknowledged to be another decided victory on behalf of the Government, this being the third or fourth triumph of the kind achieved within the past week. It is now very unlikely that any organised attempt will be made to unseat the Government, and in that case it is more than ever probable that all sectious will settle down to the business, and that the same will be pushed through with all convenient despatch.
The Northern Railway. The million loan has been made a special one in order that it may not be interfered with. It will be raised as soon as the Government find themselves in a position to proceed with the work.
