THE BRITISH IN THE CITY.
Alexandbia, July 15. Admiral Seymour has landed a large body of bluejackets from the squadron, and they now occupy the various gates of the city in force at all points. The officers commanding the different de-tachments-have received orders from the Admiral to show no mercy towards the marauders and pillagers, but to fire upon them wherever they may be seen. The orders further are that the sailors are to seize and disarm any of the Egyptian soldiers who may be met.
