LAST NIGHT'S SITTING.
The House resumed at 7.30. WAV BILLS. The Dog Registration Act Amendment Bill (Mi- Steward), was read a second time. Mi* Callagham moved the second reading of the Vagrant Act Amendment Bill. Sir Cr. (trby opposed it, as flogging was a brutal form of punishment. Messrs Moss, Fkldwick, and Tole opposed the bill, and Mr MONTGOMERY supported it. Mr Petrie moved that it bcf redd that day six months. Mr Brvckkx seconded. On a division 26 voted on each side, and the bill was read a second time on the Speaker's casting vote.
