B. Whytt It is proposed to purchasb co lease with the right of purchase), from 30 to 100 acres of land m a central position near Hamilton, and erect thereon the necessary buildings and plant. The Promoters believe that the want of an establishment for the manufacture of cheese, butter and bacon of a superior and uniform quality, and on a much more extended scale than has hitherto been attempted in Waikato, has long

been felt.

Witli the view of having such an association established oi.L latest American piinciple, and on such a scale as would pay the shareholder and producers, the piomoteis have obtained a guarantee from ten fanners to deliver 30 gallons of milk each per day, for 8 inontlis.(^undavs excepted), m each year, for a term of 3 yeais, and they consider such guaiantee Will jubtiiy the investment; of the necessary capital in the proposed undertaking besides, they arc assiued ot further sup plies fiom many othei settleis. Associations of the kind have proved, in America, and other countries, not only directly remunei ative, but havealso greatiy enhanced tho intrinsic value of land and stock iv their vicinity. It is believed that the Association would be ot the gieatest benefit to the farming community, as the manipulation of such large quantities of milk by an experienced manager, and the use of the most improved plant, would ensure an article of a unifoim and superior quality, which would always command a remunerative sale in the colonial and Home markets. It is also considered that by utilising the whey, together with the pioduce of the land in connection w ith the dairy, a large number of pigt> could be kept and made into bacon, thereby mci easing the piofits, and supplying the local markets with an article for w Inch there is always a demand, and which might ultimately become a laige expoit. The Pioinotera theiefoic confidently recommend the proposed undertaking to the public as one likely to be highly beneficial to tbife. disti ict, and also a good investment for capital.
