Victory for the Australians. Lonj)O\, June 23. The cricket match Australians v. the ("raiitlomon of England, was resumed at the o>.il to-day, m tie presence of an enoi mous concoiusc of spectators. The weithur was line, but the wicket was somewhat heavy, owing to the rain which toll yesterday and during the night. The Australians with four wickets down, and 192 runs to their credit, continued their "rst innings, which at length closed for a total of 334. Bonnor made the top scorer with 74, and hatted splendidly, and never gave a chance. His play, and that of the Australians geneially was much admired. W. G. Grace howled well for the Gentlemen, and succeeded in taking 4 wickets for 45 vans. The Gentlemen went in for their first innings, and were all disposed of for 182. The bowling of the Australians was dead on the wickot, and the Englishmen could not take liberties with it. The fielding of the Austialians also wa3 excellent. Giffen took six wickets for 49 runs, and Spofforth two wickets for 61. June 24. The cricket match, Australians v. the Gentlemen of England, was resumed today at the Oval. There was again an immense attendance of the public. The weather was fine throughout the day. The Gentlemen being 152 behind their opponents, had to follow on their second innings, which closed for a total of 151 , and the Australians thus won the match by one innings with one run to spare. The fielding of -the Australians was excellent, and their bowling was again dead on the wicket. Giffen took three wickets for 60; Garret, two for 28; Palmer, four for 22.
