LAST NIGHT'S SITTING.
The House resumed at 7,30. GOLD DUTY BILL. Mr Seddon in a long speech moved qhe second reading of the Gold Duty Abolition Bill. Mr Rolleston opposed, and Mr Shkkhan supported the abolition, but suggested the adjournment of the debate. Mr We.ston, at considerable length supported the Bill, Mr Munro warmly supported the Bill, and Mr Fergus also supported it. Capt. Mckexkii: and Mr Petrie spoke in favor of the abolition of the duty, if something was substituted to assist local bodies. Sir G. Gki;y and Mr Fitzgerald spoke in favor of the Bill. [Left Sitting.]
