There was a large number of horses yarded, but were dull of sale, owing no doubt to the large number disposed of last week and consignments oT fittWrfiss s«ck' to arrive. Medium draughts, unbroken, brought from £14 10s to £20; ditto, broken, £18 '5s to £27 ; light harncsTKoi'seTaTid hacks, %5 td £12 ss. Messrs Hunthr and -jjNoi-an's Weekly Report. — Horses ; Thei;e hiS-be'en no great stir in the market, nor any^materlal alteration in value An average' number 'ifrcre- submitted by auction at the Durham Yards, on -Friday. Tlicrc was a demand for good horses, but for other descriptions the bidding was slow, but nearly all were pUsDosed/rf, either under the hammer or after*Swardsprivately, Ut last week's values. Wool, Hides, and Skins. — The supply was moderate, but, as a rule 1 , the quality of toe hides was not good, and a little more salt would be a profitable expenditure on the hides of cattle slaughtered in the country. Prices ranged from 2d to 3jd per lb : skins, from 15 Od to 4s 7d ; wool, in jtags, 7d per lb. Cattle : QTbe supply has on the whole, been good, and thY demand steady but not brisk. The number yarded on Tuesday, at Newmarket, was net quite so large as on the previous week. At Pukekohe, on Tuesday, there was a large number yarded. There was an upward tendency for dairy stock, and to a few f.it beasts the same remarks arc applicable, but stores were unaltered, and the supply w.is greater than the demand. Sheep : Supply short, and there was a marked upward tendem j in value. Ewes, in lamb, sold at from 12s to 11*, fat wethers, 17s to 21s 6d. Pig's : Supply l.irgi ■ but slack demand, consequently prices ruled \ery much in favor of purchasers.
