The office of MrR. W. Roche, Secretary to the Company, High-street, Te Awamutu. This Company is projected for the purpose of creating a Local Industry, and of thereby supplying a want long experienced in the neighbourhood of Te Awa-
The production, on a large scale, of Cheese and Bacon of superior and uniform quality, would be far more advantageous than the manufacture of the same commodities by individual settlers. It is proposed to acquire, for the purposes of the Company, about fifty acres of land, suitable for the purpose and adjacent to the township, and to erect thereon the Factory, with its necessary Outbuildings, including accomodation for the raising of Pigs. Having in view the immense success atteudanton similar establishments throughout America, the Promoters have taken steps to acquire an intimate knowledge of the working and management of such institutions, and they have engaged a thoroughly competent manager, who has had practical experience in cheese-making both in America and Victoria The fact that the calls on the shares are extremely low, and are extended over a period of twelve months, will enable all the adjacent farmers to participate directly in the profits, and at the same time to secure to themselves a certain and regular sale for the milk produced on their farms: • ' ' The amountof milk already guaranteed, and the number of shares .already applied for, warrant the Promoters in at once commencing the works, which will be completed, with all the 1 latest improvements obtainable" from America, in time to r commence the operations of the Company early; in October next. By combiniug the .manufacture of Cheeße with that of Bacon, the immediate utilisation ■' of i-the-> whey will n prove" a, material item in the profits .of the unders taking.i f•> -j "- .v '*-'', The promoters have well considered 'the fact that 'the vast areas of rich pasture land in the vicinity j ofjTe'Awarnutu are more tfian ample, to ensrireV.an unlimited L supply^ofi'nulk;^Onu'/thiS'.!iaccouht es,peciaUy\they'Subjmji to^tKe^geheralpub- , tKe/^e*and^e^&Tgain/ttol,b'e deprived frpin?this inves^a'ent $|j&pital»&'v^ #7^hklp|£!Miji^^^^
