GISBORNE, Saturday.
It has been definitely ascertained that no serious damage has been done to settleis by the late floods, owing to timely precautions being taken in removing stock, &c. Messrs Wyllie, Bloomfield and others have brought their stock back. The greatest damage done lias been to the country roads and the town bridge, the latter being in a hopeless state. The rain and flood have now subsided.
