A NEW_NOVEL. > (j&We wiil shortly publish a New Story, from the pen of the well-known colonial writer, DONALD OiMERON, (Author of "la thi Folds of the Serpent," " Silverwater Bend," " Soripopolis," "The Mysteries of Melbourne/ . and othor works), entitled — "GRIT." In this Novel Mr. Cameron has taken up a new field. He deals with a mining community, and vividly pictures the stirring scenes of mining life and the great crisis of speculation. Much of the Story is evidently founded on fact, the author having himself been an actor in the great crisis he describes, and thoroughly at home with every phase of Australian mining life. The whole Novel bristles with life and action, and the key-note of interest Is ■truok in the first chapter and sustained without break to the close. GrRIT is a Love Story that wiil specially interest the ladies. As we only print a limited number of papers over our subscription list, intending subscribers wishing to start with the new Story trill, by sending their orders in early, oblige us and prevent disappointment to themselves.
