Mr Alfrbd Buckland's WuhKr.v Rbport.— At the Haymarket, «n Juno 1, fodder was in large supply, and brought from 2s to 4s Od por cwt., small loadi, 15s to 295, and straw 11s to 23s per load. The yard was completely crammed with horses, the majority of which were from Wanganui, and consisted of active medium draughts, broke? ,and r jirtbrok«n. The- bidding was brisk throughout the sale, and with very few exceptions all were •disposed of. Medium draughtsr-unbrokent brought from Ll3 to L30 10s; light draught, broken, from Ll7 10s to L 42 ; light harness horses, Ll3 to L2O ; heavy hacks, Ll5 to L2O ; light.hacks, L 5 to Ll2 each, A^ the Haymarket on Tuesday, hides were plentiful and brought from 3d to 4d the 1b ; calfskins, 2.Jd to 3Jd ; s'Hb'gpsWns, Is 9d to 4s Ud each ; tallow, 23s and 23s 0d the cwt. At Pukekohe there was a fair muster of cattle, with the usual attendance, and, although the weather was very severe, there was no variation in values. * At Remuera, on Thursday, a large number of dairy cattle were yarded. For those near calving late prices were sustained, but heifers and backward cows were at lower values. Store cattle were yarded in limited number, and were without alteration in price. Fat cattle in full supply, and large, well-fatted stock maintained last week's values ; but large cattle, if not of choice quality, and green steers were lower in price. The sheep market was well supplied with good wethers, and srices5 rices steady throughout at barely 3d the Ib. 'igs of good quality abundant. Prices ranged with quality from 2£d to 3Jd the lb. Messrs Huntek and Nolans Weekly ReroßT.—Horses: A good many have been brought ; forward, and there has spirited demand for shipborne of a good stamp ; comparatively few good local offered. At the Durham Yards, on Friday, thcre'trasrabove'an average number of entries. For good young draught stock the competition was spirited, and £05 was given for a fair pair of colts, and other descriptions sold at relative prices, while inferior hacks and light harness horses were compartively neglected. There rc"mains'an unsatisfied inquiry for good upstanding young horses, and also really good heavy draught stock. Wool, hides, and skins : Good supply and corresponding demand. Hides sold at from 3Jd : station skins, from Is lid to 3s 3d • bones/in bags, 7^d. Cattle : There has been a largo number brought forward. The demand has been steady, with little alteration in value. At the Newmarket Yards, on Tuesday, there was an ample supply of fat beasts and a moderate one of other descriptions. The Papakura Yards, on Wednesday, were as usual, well filled, with stock. There was a good attendance of buyers, but bidding was not so spirited as on the previous sale. We quote beef at from 19s to 25s per lOOlbs., a marked preference being given to well' fatted stock. Cahes, from 17s Od to 245; yearlings, 27s 6d to 33s ; heifers, from £2 7s (fd to £3 ; dry cows, from £3 to £i 2s Od ; eightccnmonths to two-years-old steers £27s Od to £'£ 15 ; grown steers, £4 to £4 5s ; dairy cows, £(S to £7 12s Cdl Sheep : There has been a worthy alteration }n value. Pigs were, in large supply, but 3id per lb., live weight, was the top price.
