Narrow Escape. Melbourne, Yesterday.
The ship Mhtley Hall, 1532 tons, which has just arrived from London, had a narrow escape from destruction by fire during the passage, A quantity of acids forming part of her cargo spontaneously ignited, but the fire was extinguished without much damage being done.
