Registered under The Joint Stock Companies Act. ! Board op Dibectors : Mr William Taylor Mr Thomas Gresham Mr Richard Burke Mr John W. Bridgman Mr George Churches Mr James Cunningham Mr Edward Parsons Mr Wallace Jones Mr John Hutchinson BAKKERS : The Bank of New Zealand (Te Awamutu Branch). Solicitor : Mr Thomaa Gresham. Secretary ; Mr R. W. Roche. Office : The officeof MrR. W. Roche, Secretary to the Company, High-street, Te Awamutu. This Company is projected for the pur« pose of creating a Local Industry, and of thereby supplying a want long experienced in the neighbourhood of Te Awamutu. The production, on a large scale, of Cheese and Bacon of superior and uniform quality, would be far more advantageous than the manufacture of the same commodities by individual settlers. It is proposed to acquire, for the pur* poses of the Company, about fifty acres of land, suitable for the purpose ana adjacent to the township, and to erect thereon the Factory, with its necessary Outbuildings, including accomodation for the raising of Pigs. Having in view the immense success attemlanton similar establishments throughout America, the Promoters have taken steps to acquire an intimate knowledge of the working and management of such institutions, and they have engaged a thoroughly competent manager, who has had practical experience in cheese-making both in America and Victoria The fact that the calls on the shares are extremely low, and are extended over a period of twelve months, will enable all the adjacent farmers to participate directly in the profits, and at the same time to secure to themselves a certain and regular sale for the milk produced on their farms. The amount of milk already guaranteed, and the number of shares already applied for, warrant the Promoters in at once commencing the works, which will be completed, with all the latest improvements obtainable from America, in time to commence the operations of the Company early in October next. By combining the manufacture of Cheese with that of Bacon, the immediate utilisation of the whey will prove a material item in the profits of the undertaking. The promoters have well considered the fact that the vast areas of rich pasture land in the vicinity of Te Awamutu are more than ample to ensure an unlimited supply of milk. On this account especially they submit to the general pub« lie the safe and certain gain to be derived from this investment of capital. The proximity of the railway to the township will greatly facilitate transport to Auckland, whence a highly remunerative sale can be secured in the Home, Foreign and Colonial markets. Applications for Shares to be made to the Secretary, Mr R. W. Roche, or to any of the Directors. Te Awamutu, May 27, 1882.
