"Rankfrs * 3 The Bank of New Zeuland. r Solicitous : Messrs. Hay and Speed. Hon. Sec.: 1 Mr Knox. Directors : Captain Steele Captain Runciman Mr S. T. Seddon Mr Isaac Coates Mr John Knox Mr B. Wood Mr J. B. Whytt It is proposed to purchase go lease with the right of purchase), from 50_ to 100 acres of land in a central position near Hamilton, and erect thereon the necessary and plant. The Promoters believe that the want of an establishment for the manufacture of cheese, butter and bacon of a superior and uniform quality, and on a much more extended scale than has hitherto been attempted in Waikato, has long been felt. With the view of having such an assoa ciation established 01.'. ':e latest American principle, and on such a scale as would pay the shareholders and producers, the promoters have obtained a guarantee s from ten farmers to deliver 30 gallons of r milk each pei day, for S months (Sundays L excepted), in each year, for a teim of 3 years, and they consider such guarantee c will justify the investment of the necessary capital in the proposed undertaking besides, they arc assured of further sup plies from many other settlers. Associa- \ t tions of the kind have proved, in Aniei ica, and other countrieb, not only directly remunerative, buthaveal&ogieatiy enhanced the intrinsic value of land and stock in 101 0 their vicinity. It is believed that the Association would be of the greatest benefit to the a farming community, as the manipulation n of such large quantities of milk by an experienced manager, and the use of the most improved plant, would ensure an ' article of. a uniform and aupeiior quality, ; which would always command a rennuier1 ative sale in the colonial and Home markets. 11 It is also considered that by utilising the whey, together with the produce of the land in connection with the dairy, q a large number of pigs could be kept rand r and made into bacon, thereby increasing a the profits, and supplying the local s markets with an article for which there is always a demand, and which might ultimately become a large expoi t. 1 The Promoters therefore confidently IX recommend the projDOsed undertaking to the public as one likely to be highly beneficial to this district, and also a good investment for capital. Applications for shares to be made to the Secietary, Mr John Knox, Hamilton, on or before Monday, May 2!).

T\\Q THE INHABITANTS OF CAMJL BRIDGE AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS. —I, W. H. Kelly, of Hamilton, Cariier and so foith, beg to state that I am prepared to cart goods, ]ier ton, from Hamilton Station to Cambridge cheaper than it is now done by steamer from Ngaruawahia ; and that I will guarantee prompt and safe delivery at once, if supported. You may say the thing is impossible : that I cannot carry goods as cheap as steamer ; so I will enter into figures to show that I can. Now, up to the present, the through rates from Ngaruawahia to Cambridge have beeu : Class A 19s, B 19s, C ISs, D 17s, and E 13s; and add cartage to this it will make it over £\ a ton. Now, lam prepared to cart it at £1 per ton, and, if I got a load back, half price. And, as lam in constant communication with the Railway Station, and know most of its regulations regarding freight and so for fc th, you may rely on your interests being looked after, and on no account will you be charged with storage, as I will pay it, if any demands are made re above. I may also say that I am getting a spring trap built and a waggon, which will be ready in a few days, and as I have two drays also I will guarantee to deliver 20 tons per week. The railway rates to Hamilton have now been lowered, so that there is little difference between it and Ngaruawahia, on some classes only 13d per ton. NOTICE. TTALUABLE SHEEP, the property of \ the undersigned, have lately been killed by Dogs ; poison for their destruction has been laid on the Company's Estate, near Cambridge. Trespassers in .pursuit, of Game will be prosecuted.
