Election of Councillor.
The polling for the election of one councillor, in the place of Mr K. Hill, resigned, took place yesterday. Despite the fact that the clay was a public holiday, a fair amount of interest was taken in the proceedings. The following was the result of the poll :—: — Robson, George ... ... 33 Johnson, C. R 27 Wood, W 7 Informal 1 Mr Robson is therefore duly elected to fill the vacancy at the council.
