THE TIMARU DISASTER. [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Dunedin, Tuesday. ~1 Subscriptions arealready being received here though the Press to any fund-that may be raised in aid of the families of the victims of the Timaru disaster. . To-night, at the City Council, a resolution of condolence was carried re the Timaru. disaster, and £23 subscribed -to a fund by the councillors.
CHRISTCIUJ.RCH, Last Night. A subscription list has been opened for the relief of the sufferers by the Thnaru disaster.
Invercargill, Last Night. A public meeting will be held to raise subscriptions on behalf of the families of the victims of the disaster at Timaru.
