Sir, — One of our city fathers informs me that Mr Vialou is about to be appointed inspector of the drain now being made in Cook-street, and that he is going to resign his seat at the Council board for that purpose. I thought better of His Worship than to allow such things to occur without raising his voice. What next ? A meeting of the directors of the Waikato FellmonKcry Company will be held at their offices, Ngaruawahi.i, at 1 30 p.m., on Saturday next, to appoint a manager and approve a site selection.
