LYELL, Last Night.
Owing to floods f and the consequent isolation, from communication with the seaboard in which Lyell has been during the past 20 days, the people are reduced, to a condition bordering on famine, not a hundredweight of flour being available. A public meeting was held last itfgKtat which a" resolution was* oafried'sfroßghF condemning the Administration rotphlys delay in the construction of the bridge at Inangahua Junction, wher,e the team's are continuously stuck up. This is regarded, as an indirect cause of the famine.
