[circular.] Hamilton, April 14th, : 1882. TO THE INHABITANTS OF CAMBRIDGE AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS. —I, W. H. Kklly, of Hamilton, Carrier and so forth, beg to state that I am prepared to cart goods, per ton, from Hamilton Station to Cambridge cheaper than it is now done by steamer from Ngaruawahia ; and that I will guarantee prompt and safe delivery at once, if supported. You may say the thing is impossible : that I cannot carry goods as cheap as steamer ; so I will enter into figures to show that I can. Now, up to the present, the through rates from Ngaruawahia to Cambridge have been : Class A 19s, B 19s, C 18s, D 17s, and, E 13s ; and add cartage to this it will make it over £1 a ton. Now, lam prepared to cart it at £1 per ton, and, if I get j a load back, half price. And, as I am in constant communication with the Railway Station, and, know most of its regulations regarding' freight and so forth, you may rely on your interests being looked after, .and on no account will you be charged with storage, as I will pay it, if any demands are made re above. I may also \ say that I am getting a' spring trap built and a waggon, which will be ready in a few days, and as I have two drays also I will guarantee to deliver 20 tons per week. The railway rates to Hamilton have now been lowered, so that there is little difference between it and Ngaruawahia, on some classes only 13d per ton.
