This Association is promoted to supply a want in Waikato— to stimulate cooperation and combination amongst the \Vaikato farming community, upon the' principle that' unity gives streh'gth and co-operation affords a guarantee for matual .benefit, the best value for- produce, and most economical method of working crops, or other farming operations. The Waikato at present does not grow nearly sufficient grain to supply its local requirements, and from the fact that its population is constantly increasing and with the rich prospects and magnitude of the ! Te Aroha Goldfield in view, a large demand for the products of amillmay be confidently expected, the purchase or erection of a flour mill or mills and granaries will therefore he one of the main objects of the Association. The benefits to small settlers taking shares will be very great, as they will secure a certain market for their farm products, participating in the profits of the Association, besides being able.. to work their 'farms* at the lowest possible outlay and risk to themselves. 1 Another object; of the Association will be the erection of a suitable slaughter- , yard in the Waikato district for the purpose of supplying the' Auckland 'market with meat, or otherwise disposing of same. , The Association also propose the establishment of cheese, butter and bacon factories in central positions. Nevertheless, the Directors of the.Assocjation will exercise their discretion in selecting one or other of the various objects set forward in the Prospectus, to start operations upon in case they deem it imprudent to commence all at the same time, and the works undertaken will be progressive,, and not of an unwarrantable magnitude at the onset. v ' Applications for shares to be 7iiade to the Secretary, W. A. Graham, Tamahere Estate, Hamilton, and to Frater, Bros., Auckland, or T. Y. Fitzpatrick, Ngaruawahia. ' Share List will close on Thursday, May 4th.
