A CORRECTION.

TO THE, EDITOR, Sir, — Notice of a concert having taken place in connection with theTe Awarantu district school has recently been reportedin the Herald, several persons have .been deluded by this report, and upon making enquiries I find on good authority , that the notice was altogether' a mistake and that no entertainment under the conduct of Mr T. A. Bell ever took place in' this district. A dramatic performance was given in December 1881, tinder' the direction of Mr Benge, for the purpose of establishing a school library, when the net proceeds amounted to £13, to which wa#|added the sum of £10 from the Board of*Education. — I'remairi, &c - '' r^f !
